The Tayyibat Method: Food Lists & Rules
The heart of the method is a single classification: every food is either من الطيبات — wholesome — or من الخبائث — excluded. This page is the documented index of that classification, with per-item sources and honest notes where the reference sites disagree.

The classification principle
According to the method, the wholesome foods (tayyibat) are those a body digests cleanly: red meats, wild fish, rice, potatoes, dates, olive oil, butter and ghee, aged cheeses, honey — and, unusually for a diet, even sugar and some commercial sweets.
The excluded foods (khaba'ith) are those the method holds burden digestion: poultry and eggs, fresh dairy, legumes, raw vegetables and salads, refined flour and everything baked from it.
Dr. Al-Awadi presented this split through his hormonal reading of digestion. That reasoning is contested and unvalidated — the lists below document his teaching; they do not certify it.

The rules, in one breath
Eat on true hunger, stop near 80%, keep meals to two or three items, drink on thirst, leave two hours between any caloric intakes, and fast Mondays, Thursdays and the lunar mid-month.

Where the three disagree — almonds, pine nuts, couscous, kiwi, cooked onion, black tea, seeds — the item is flagged “sources disagree” and both positions are shown. We do not silently pick a side.
